The mission of ZAP Lanaudière is to give everyone in the region, including citizens, businesses and visitors, access to free wireless Internet. All this is made possible through the support of volunteers as well as traders and institutions of Lanaudière.

ZAP Lanaudière is currently in progress and ready to install enhanced WiFi networks throughout Lanaudière. More than twenty companies, agencies and municipalities have expressed interest in hosting a public access point. A map showing these areas is currently in development. Over the next few years, ZAP Lanaudière hopes to introduce the launch of more than 200 ZAP locations.

Community activities and events are being planned in collaboration with different organizations and businesses ranging from poetry online, blog-fests and Textofil.
